Lets see, in terms of power, prelude makes about 200hp runs 15.6-15.8 quarter. Gsr makes 170hp and run 15.4-15.5 quarter. Prelude is heavier. The looks of the car i personally like the new fronts on the integs 98+, so i prefer the older prelude in terms of looks. Interior, well lets put it this way, the prelude was made for taller people. If you plan on boost, a prelude engine could make more than a b18 in a gsr running on the same psi. But preludes have less selection of turbos or superchargers.

your numbers for the prelude are off. My 1998 base runs 14.8-15.2 consistantly with only an AEM intake.

Well the 96 has the same engine(h22), and weighs 93 pounds less... so actually its roughly the same speed, if not a tad bit quicker

The same reason i was able to beat multiple mustang GT's and one ITR

Lots and lots of people dont know how to drive

A good driver in a GSR will take a 'decent' driver in a prelude.
the cars are basically so evenly matched as it is

All the cool kids have tegs....

Personal preference, man. Like fierce said, the cars are evenly matched. If you get a lude, get a 4th gen. I think they look a bit better.

back when i was shopping for a car, i drove a 94 vtec lude and it pulled hard. it felt like it could run mid 14's all day long. but it drove like shit, had a lot of blind spots, lot of noises above 80, and drove like shit. so i guess the newer lude's are slower? cuz my buddy has a 94 lude and smokes gsr's, gt mustangs, mostly anything.

then i drove a teg, it didnt have the power of that lude but man it was fun to drive. i ended up going with the teg and havent regretted it since. now i'm working on building up the power.

maybe its just cuz im used to my gs teg.

LOL... yeah, preludes love to make little misc. sounds when you start to go above 80 mph, quite annoying.. And the blind spot is HUGE.. But i dont know why you think it drives like shit ;/

The 5th gens arent really any slower then the 4th gens, they are 90 lbs heavier, with the same engine.. so maybe like 1 or 2 tenths of a second slower..

They also dont make much power in low rpm, but they pull really really hard in 2nd and 3rd gear

If i were you, I would test drive both.. Thats the only way you will really know which you want/like more..

GOOD LUCK!:sun:

Well, I've took out a couple of ITRs in my stock GSR before, it all depends on the driver. Both the preludes and integras are great, they are like brothers, just work together and eliminate the competitions.

yeah i had a 95 gsr and my buddy had a 01 lude..
we'd go at it all the time... he would get me 8/10 times... but the other 2 i could get him by a foot or so , it's all about the start and the drivers..
