Difference between Base and SH, well mainly it's the ATTS that is on the SH. Active Torque Transfer System I believe is what it stands for. In other words it transfers power to the wheels when one wheel needs more power, if I'm clear on it that's what it does. Another difference is the SH only comes with a manual tranny, there are no automatics. There may be other differences but that's the only ones I know of.

wheels, standard spoiler, color-matching skirts, leather shift knob. and a different front suspension geometry. Fritz can elaborate on the technical differences between the two. he's got a whole list of them you'd be surprised.

Yeah, I knew I might have missed one or two things in my list of differences. :hehe: Oh, and the SH doesn't have the 3rd brake light in the rear shelf at the back window.

the base doesn't have the leather option either. it's a dealer installed option that costs around $1100. the SH weighs around 90 lbs more than the base. what else, the base has an available sportshift 4 speed automatic tranny, the SH does not. and the base with the optional spoiler doesn't have the 3rd brake light in the window as well since the factory spoiler has the LED brake light integrated already. and the SH is twice as fast as the base. jus playin.

Just to add to the list:
SH has stiffer springs and dampers all around
thinner front sway bar
radius rods use a heim joint rather than a rubber bushing
double the wheel caster
ever-so-slightly larger middle lobes on the camshaft, & valve springs to match
courtesy lights in the doors
and that nifty little "Type SH" sticker on the back

The ATTS and stiffer springs are the biggest difference from the base - drive both and see what you think.

del - that great list was lost with PH. This is just what I can remember

And my SH has leather.

I didn't know that. Mine came with leather and i think it was the same price as the regular ones.

so the base has a spoiler and no third brake light? That's weird. Mine is a SE and it has no spoiler and a third brake light.

Ahh, I see. Sorry. I didn't know there was a difference. I thought the ones we get in Canada were the USDM ones. We also get heated seats! But I'd rather not need them in the first place....
You guys don't have daytime running lamps? I thought they were the law?
