I see these high school students, with caddy SUVs and beamers. I laugh at them. They think they are so cool. They are a joke. When they grow up, they wont know how to save money. They dont/wont have a work ethic. I know a few rich people, millionares. You look at their clothing, what they drive, you would think they are middle class workers. But they still work. One guy owns a bunch of homes, rental units and rent to own. He works as a driver for delivery company. Not his business. I know a few others that own their own business and work as laborers in them. This is because they have a work ethic instilled within themselves. They get bored easily/quickly. These kids driving daddy's car. Everything is handed to them on a silver platter. Now I know why most of these kids are messed up. Because when they are left on their own, and bad things happen, they dont know how to deal with it.

Agreed. In a sense it is the parents fault though. Why do they buy them a new SUV on their 16th birthday? Make them work for it. If they have their own business, even better, they can employ their child.

I have to disagree. Yes some will not know how to save money but others are probably very thankful for everything they have and receieve and know the value of a dollar. I'm not rich, my parents aren't rich but we are well off. I have only had a few jobs in my short life. I have never worked during my 5 years of college except during a few summers for my dad. I was taught the value of a dollar at an early age and taught to appreciate everything I have b/c it can be gone in an instant. I never brag or talk about anything I have and I've met kids who have had similar lives to me who are the same way.

Who cares I wish my parents were loaded, I certainly wouldn't turn down a new BMW and say hey dad let me work for minimum wage and buy a beater.

If you were in their situation I doubt you'd turn down a nice ass free car either, I wish I was spoiled i've always had to work for what I have. Will I be better off later in life? Yeah probably I can work harder but their rich daddy will send them to Harvard for a nice degree while I'm working in a prison fighting mental patients for a living.

My dad is freakin loaded, when I turned 16 did I get a new beamer? Nope, I was driving a 94 dodge ram 1500 singlecab v6 longbed, now thats luxury. My dad never had things handed to him as a kid, he worked in his parents resturaunt from the time he could walk, he wants to give me everything but it just takes a certian type of person to not let them do that. I paid for my own car with help from my dad, he gave me money for rent while I was renting an apartment, I gave it back to him for christmas because I didnt NEED it. Kids nowdays just take everything and expect everything they want, its sad.

I agree and disagree with that statement...my dad has money, and I don't work. He pays for everything, from my education to a new surf board. I get money through being on his company's payroll. I get a certain amount each month, and I pay my bills and get stuff I want. Now, do I spend it all? No, hell, there's months when I tell him just to keep the money because I don't need it. I'm sure some of you have your own opinions on me but yeah, there are spoiled brats who just spend the money and don't care. But I take pride in knowing that I give to charities and those kids who ask for money at the grocery store. I dress like a normal college kid and I don't try to show off or brag about having money. I know I am VERY lucky, and I like to help those who are less fortunate. There are spoiled brats, but just because someone has money, does not mean that they are spoiled brats.

I had 4 different cars over the past 3 years. I paid for all of them myself. It pisses me of sometimes when I see other kids that have their parents buy them flashy cars. (Nice thing on the parents part) I only get jealous when I realize how much money i could have saved off cars if my parents bought them. I bought them not out of want, but out of need. They were all pos's. But hey, some people don't have the option of waiting to get cars. When you have things you need to do, you have to get a car that can get you from A to B then B to A. this time i told myself I'm getting the car that i want. Even if i takes a year of saving up. Like Gotti's thread a while back, it is my cadillac, ferari, benz. I love it. So after my last car bit the dust I had enough money to buy a good one.

Since the age of 12 i've refused to wear any winter clothes that aren't 100% cashmere. My tops are cashmere, my socks are cashmere, my boxers are cashmere, my scarves, everything. I don't wear jeans. Jeans are for peasants. I wear endangered animals' furs, and i drive an Enzo.

my friend's dad is absolutely loaded, you wouldn't know apart from his car, he works shit-hard everyday even though he has enough money to never work another day. my friend doesn't act like he's loaded, never boasts. i hate the bastards that make it obvious, an i hate the bastards that pretend they're rich when they're lying shits.

ive bought 7 cars in the last 6 years all by myself.including 2 94 rx7s that were 15000 each. my mom drives a 01 corvette and lives confortably, but she never gave me a dime since i turned 16. she lives 1500 miles away and doesnt send any kind of money. same with grandma, has bout a million or so dollars, but never sends anything. i believe if u dont work for what u want, u dont respect it.i went to a highschool in atlanta where kids had vipers and 2000 a week allowance!!!!!do u think they know how many hours id have to work for a viper? not at all. i never had financial help and hate kids that drive up in a mercedes 500sl and think they are the shit. yes, nice car, but daddy didnt buy mine and wont take it away when i get a 120mph speeding ticket!

and im better than u cause ill take ur money while u go cry to daddy!

My parents have given me what i wanted, but i always had to work my ass for it, or i wouldn't get it, if i wanted something, i had to work to get it. I have no problem with people getting whatever they want though, i think it's cool. I just feel proud that i've worked for everything i've gotten.

my mates first car was bought by his brother, a VW passat with audi RS6 engine an drivetrain, very fast 180+mph. he his a breez-block (squarish concrete thing) car got fucked up
