95 Firebird elec problems?

The car was running good until I nearly ran out of gas. The engine is now very hard to start. It used to start right up. I changed the fuel filter and I knocked out the cat converter. Now, after I get it started, it will run real nice until the engine light comes on and the car starts bucking like its not getting enough gas. I also had to disconnect the IAT sensor. The car runs rough when its connected. The car has 100,000 miles on it and its a 3.4. Any suggestions?

Have you tried replacing your fuel injectors?

Thanks for the info...I put in new injectors 5,000 miles ago along with a new computer...pretty expensive and not much better.

Mine was like that too..... try fuel pump relay (driverside panel by pedals) first... most issues start there... or do the fuel pump.... mine was the fuel pump. Also did coils... helped a lil.... any codes here??? (Fuel pump sends no codes for your year...i'm guessing cuz i have a 1996 and it didn't)

Re: 95 Firebird elec problems?

Well you have to cuz the company actually messed up on my fuel pump and put a 1995 fuel pump in it, and my car had a relay.... you must....

Re: 95 Firebird elec problems?

I looked under the dash by the peddles and I don't see anything like that...what does it look like? I don't see it in the Chiltons manual either... I live on Guam and finding parts for my american car is a little difficult. This sounds like something I will have to order online...the sooner I find out the better...thanks for the help
