stay with 4th gen or get a 5th gen...

ok fellow lude lovers, i love my 4th gen, she's been great to me but i've been pondering lately about sellin her and getting me a nice pearl white lude, '00 model, loaded, manual, all that good stuff. i think i would make payments on the new one and use the money i get from my 4th gen. and throw some mad mods on it...what do yall think??

Sounds like a good idea to me, although if I were you I would probably stick half of the money you get to paying off the loan and the other half on tunning the car. I have '00 pearl lude and love it!

I say go with a 5th gen.
I've had both, and I loved my 4th gen to death, but I think I like my 5th gen better. And plus, its a nice change too.

Id say go stick with your 4th gen, there are less of them (at least where i am), plus ive heard that 5th gens dont get good gains from mods without a new ecu...

Damn!! My insurance would be like 125 a month for that lude. With the car payment, that'll be a litlle over 500 m month for the car. I'd rather just pay 3500 for a swap and have the same engine with nice low insurance

It depends on your plans for the future. How many miles does your 4th gen have? If you do pay $3500 twds a new engine...what about the future? You could put that $3500 towards a newer Lude with less miles. It's basically what can you afford and what are your plans for the future. They are both GREAT cars...just one is newer..with less miles and less wear and tear. IMO...get the 5th Gen

go drive a 5th gen, beat on it a little and choose which one you like better. each is better and worse than the other in different categories.

Go with the 5th gen. It looks a hell of a lot better than the 4th in my opinion.
