Made a bitch...and loved it

Ok, heres the thing. I live in a fairly affluent area in Texas, and while I kinda knew that (neighbors cars: current model Viper and a SL66 AMG, a few C5 Z06s, two new C6 Vettes, a coupla Porsches), I never really knew what moeny could by till yesterday.

First race: Leaving SLTC (If your in the CV/G-SL area, you know what I mean), wind up right next to a very pretty ///M5 (E39). I'm just oogling the car at the light, driver looks over and sees me and gives me one of those 'you like my car dont you' shit eating grins. I just give him the thumbs up back, and he revs a few times. I think why not, I haven't been utterly destroyed in a while, might as well have a go. Light goes green, and he roasts the tires. I get about a half carlength jump as he spins, then he catches, and is gone. Flys by me like a damned rocket. He lets off a good five car lengths up, and I pull up next to him, and give him the thumbs up. He punches it again, and bam hes gone again. Damn.

Second race: Still in the job search, so I'm leaving the mall after applying to nearly every shop there, when I hear this odd little exhaust note, and see something red off in the distance. I persue, and nearly shit myself when I see it. Red Lamborghini Diable VT. Shit. I keep on its tail a little bit till I get next to it at a red light. I look over, and just nod. Thats all I could really do. I mean, I've seen plenty of the "lower end" Ferraris and what not running around, but this is just sexy. It ranks up there with my Enzo sighting in DT Ft. Worth or the Aston Martin in MO. I dunno if he ooked over or not, had those damned near one way windows, but I think he did. Light goes green, and we both punch it. That thing fucking ROARED. It shot off the line, tires screaming. By the time I got to about 50, he was gone. I mean, like, I was totally and utterly massacered in every sense of the word: Physically, metaphysically, empirically, gramaticly...I mean...wow.

Third Race: Not really a race, but played a little cat and mouse with my neighbor in his Viper. Came up behind him on the highway, honked a few times to let him know I was here, and waved. He kinda took off, and I stayed with him through a little bit of traffic. Hit an opening, and yeah, he was gone. I guess the ticket he got the other day really didnt faze him all that much.

Fourth race: Not involved in, but it was still hot. I was trying to get one of the V6 T/As (Firebird I think) to play, when I noticed something shinny up ahead. Ended up being something that looked like a regular Z06, till I noticed the liscense plate. Someone was proud of their turbo or SC, plate said "BOOST". He was sitting at light next to a silver (not my neighbor's, his is black) SL66 AMG. Light goes green, and they both take off. I mean, they were gone before I could even hit the gas. Finally caught up with them three lights down, asked who won, and the Vette guy said the Benz did. They started reving again, but this time the AMG didn't take off, and instead roasted the tires while the Vette just flew off. It was an audio orgasm, almost as nice sounding as the Diablo.

All in all...yeah I feel small.

That would of been one the most amazing days to experience if i had the chance. That is just awesome, i don't know what to say. To see all of those cars in one day is a miracle, let alone you got to race some of them.

...Leaving SLTC (If your in the CV/G-SL area, you know what I mean), ...

Is that Creekview/Garland-South Lake? And what is SLTC. Man, don't know much and have lived in Lewisville for 10 years.

Very nice cars you've seen, I never see any cool ones except the original Cobra 427 that flew by about 100 ft away and the Lamborghini that also flew by about 150 ft away. Both of which I wasn't really paying attention when they did go by.

It's really fun racing even if you are outclassed beyond words. Now you can say with first hand knowledge, there fast.
We don't get cars like that down here much, a Viper or Vette but never the hotties. I'd give one of my (i don't know which one, I gave away before) nuts to get to run oneof them.

Re: Made a bitch...and loved it

You call that a day?? Pffftt...

Today I saw, 20 Civics, 2 3000GT's, 6 00'+ Ford F350's, and one very nice black 300C.

What the hell kind of ritzy area do you live in geez. It would probably take me a lifetime to see all those cars you did in that amount of time. Then again, I've seen a few rare cars here in Utah. 1 Brand new Porsche Carrera GT (yellow), 1 new black Rolls Royce Phantom (I think that's what it was called), 1 new Red Ferrari Enzo, 1 new Grey Lotus Espirit, and lastly a brand new Black BMW M5. But that was over a period of 3 months.

Re: Made a bitch...and loved it

Ijust saw a Yellow Porsche Carrera GT on the freeway the other day... he was going the other way though... but it sure was pretty.

And a V6 TransAm? TransAm's only come in V8, must of been a V6 Firebird.
