back protectors
howdy all.
been trying to find a back protector for someone taller than 5 foot 8 (i'm 6'4) spidi no longer do their's in XL, Dainese and Alpinestar are only in Large and are still too small. finally got onto the new Knox brand. bloody awesome. it's got full spine protection (from tail bone to the neck) and shoulders. very comfy to. I had a Dainese before but this thing shits all over the Dainese. fully recommend this to anyone

Re: back protectors
As soon as I get a job, I need to stock on up track-day gear. If you think it's hard to find stuff for tall dudes... try being a tall chick... mmmm, NOT FUN. I am going to be home a LOT now that I have graduated, and the first string of interviews is over. I will try to post up any questions/suggestions I come across.

Does it require a jacket for it to be inserted, or is it worn with strap? I have a Teknic jacket with an air hump, and it only has a room for a backpad, not enough to reach the shoulders or tail bone.

its the ricochet 9 plate
http://www.planet-knox.com/Knox/index.asp the straps come off and it can be used by the gut straps. my dainese was only from lower back to mid shoulders. very comfortable under the jacket and pants (2 piece suit) or gortex jacket and jeans
