chevy sportside
hi can anyone let me know if the engine is a small or big block. on the chevrolet c-1500 sportside, amt ertl the engine specs states 5.7 liter (350 cu. in.), 210 hp, v-8 with efi.
its got the option to do it custom with mr gasket airscoop, carter afb carbs and edelbrock tunnel ram. also referance pics would be nice. thanks daniel. ref pics of the engine wuld be nice or sites to visit, thanks Last edited by hawkone; 05-04-2005 at 02:57 AM. |

Re: chevy sportside
Jupp!
You got it all right, 396 and up counts as a big block in the GM's world. Even if you can make a 400 out of a 350 with a different crankshaft it's still considered a small block, a big small block. A bit confusing I think. Niclas |

Re: chevy sportside
5.7 litre and it only produces 210bhp ? thats ridiculous, for that engine size it should be at least 400bhp, crazy stuff....

Quote:
15 years ago that was a respectable number. Truck engines have more torque than horsepower. The 5.7L in the camaro had higher HP #'s.
