Couple of questions

Hey guys, I was hoping some of you could help me out with a few questions I have. First off, I absolutely love CRX's, I think they're awesome. I've been trying to find a nice conditioned one for quite a while now.. But I've had no luck. My friend has one, but it has no power steering.. and this is where my questions start.

Which models, if any, came equipped with power steering? I'm not a big fan of not having that. So I'm kind of hoping there are some models that came with it.

My other question.. Which models came with AC. I know some of them didn't and some of them did, I'm just unsure of which ones.

I'm just wanting a model with power steering and AC. Does the Si come with both? If there are no models that came with power steering, then what are some of yalls experiences with it? Do you eventually get used to it? Or is it always a nuisance? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Couple of questions

ARE you a chic? I know your not Why the hell would you want PS in a 2000 lbs car? AC came in varied cars you could get AC in all the models and you could not get it in all the models. So you have to look. Typically I think most Si's came with AC.

Why would I want power steering in a 2k lb car you ask? Because I personally have never driven a CRX. My friend told me that it's a bitch to turn. So I thought maybe I would ask if there were any power steering options available.

Re: Couple of questions

<-- 88 crx SI w/AC but no PS. Turning from a dead stop can be a little hard, but if you have just a little movement forward or reverse it's easy. Far as the A/C goes, I'd have to say good luck on finding one that works. Most of the ones I see the clutch has gone out. But that's not a hard fix.

Re: Couple of questions

No power steering and it's not really necessary... especially with small, light weight rims. I've turned my ride several times at a crawl with no foot on clutch in 1st with my palm doing the gangster twirl on the steering wheel... piece of cake... A/C is not necessary (less weight/less rotational mass)...

Re: Couple of questions

A/C was an option so you just need to look for a car that had it installed... and P/S only came on the 4drs or hatches with automatic trannies.

Re: Couple of questions

I had PS in my hatchie and I took it out.

Down with power steering! When you're rolling it feels so much better without it, and when you're in a parking lot its the only time it kinda sucks, but you'll get over it fast.
