The Relic gets back onto the streets.

Recently the Z's motor finally craped out, compression read as

60, 61, 70, 91, 84, 120

it should have been around 160 each cylinder...

anyway, so I decided to keep her alive with a new healthy powerplant

look at my avatar...yes its small to piss everyone off

I'm sure Red will let the cat out of the bag soon enough if he hasnt already told everyone but anyway, moving on....

I was on the freeway recently, and a red sporty bike was comming up, I was doin about 70, just cruzin up the 101 to kill time and enjoy drivin my Z. So I downshift, down to 3rd, only about 3K rpm....and I turn it up to a bar. He looks over, and hits it as I do, we both go ripping down the road, cars start to look like they are going in reverse as I slam it into 4th. 3rd tops out at about 100...so I know i'm flying *my speedo gave out...so I dont know for sure* I rember that the part i'm at goes into a bend...at 100 you dont even notice it but I was toping out 4th and putting it into fifth...the bike was falling behind slowly as we went into he, he didnt seem to have too much troubble, but from how he was leaning into it I was sure he was going to eat pavement. *what can I say, i'm not a biker...* The Z starts to understear so I keep the wheel going ever further to the side to keep from going into the semi seperating the biker and me. Finally I let off...I was going way too fast and didnt need to risk going faster, I had beaten a bike and was damn proud of myself. He matched my speed as I slowed down, checked out the Z and gave me a thumbs up.

It feels good to be fast again

Yeah, I'm almost in the same boat as you. My Civ is in it's last moments before it's going to die out. Motor swap will be coming this summer for me.

But, good story. Don't see you here that often anymore. Well, glad you still have the time to drop us a good story every now and then. Maybe you should just buy Red's Datsun instead?

WHY has there not been some cannibal warfare between the two Zs yet? I think I would like to see a video of you and Red racing more then any other race I can think of right now.

Cause, from a dig... I'd probably win cause of gear ratios.

From a roll, he'd probably win cause of gear ratios.

I've got a 3.9:1 ratio, he's get a 3.3:1 ratio...

Not to mention I'm a tad lighter overall.

And more importantly, My car wasn't running at the time of his car's completion.

Anywho, I'm going to be a dick and post pics of TV's car... tee hee

Re: The Relic gets back onto the streets.

I don't approve of the stock intake manifold or the stock Z radiator.

But, that was due to lack of funding. So, it'll work great for now... also, I haven't seen the car in person yet since it was completed.

If TV gets his ass back down here I'll do a major photo shoot for him with my neato Camera for the masses of AF.

His car will have to take the name of Panda as my 240z is for sale... to start a second 240z project.

Don't FUCK UP THE REPUTATION I'VE STARTED!
