Thumbs up Aoshima

I was checking out Hlj and found this maker called aoshima which makes these really nice VIP cars. I was thinking of ordering their La Lux Serious http://www.hlj.com/images/aos/aos29992box.gif

Has anyone built or ordered ne models from aoshima?
What are your opinions on it?

I made one VIP Celsior from Aoshima about a month ago, and I'm working on my second, and have a third in line. The kits are not as good as Tamiya ones. The body kits do not fit perfectly and simply put, the quality just isn't quite there. But the cars are cool...that's why I have 3 of them. They also come with some pretty extreme exhausts. My first Celsior had a chrome exhaust with huge quad tips that pointed up and outward. The tips were so long that they extended past the rear of the bumper. I cut the tips a bit becuase I didn't like that look. The kits come with pretty cool wheels too. They're 2 piece deep dish rims.

My RX7 is one...great kit. Needed a little bit of extra work to get the odd part to fit but no real big problems

I got one off of ebay (paid more than I should have) and the other two are from HLJ. Oh, and I also got a Soarer that's made by Aoshima recently. Also from HLJ And I have a few more coming. I like the cars that Aoshima has.

I've built an Aoshima Gen4 Honda Prelude.. the quality is ok, a bit more detail then fujimi, but the model isn't too solid... seems like it's going to fall apart everytime i pick it up.

If I want a stock car I'll get Tamiya, but if I want a modded one with body kit then there's really not much choice, Fujimi or Aoshima.. I'll go for Fujimi first just because they seem to go cheaper. I built an Aoshima RX-7 too and apart from the body kit not fitting perfectly it's a great kit.
