Smile G.E.T. Coilover suspension

Hi Peoples!

Has anyone ever heard of G.E.T. Suspension. My car has this brand suspension on it but one of the coilovers is leaking and is dead.

I have no-idea if this type of suspension can be rubuilt which is why I'm asking around for some advice...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Question

I saw your post a few days ago but didn't respond 'cause I was going to try and find out some stuff for ya, but I haven't found anyone who has heard of G.E.T suspention, the closest I've gotten is G.E.B. , but that won't work

I would say you can probly rebuild it, just swing by your mechanic and have him take a quick look at it (off the clock ) he should be able to tell by a look if you can rebuild it or not.

I'd never heard of GET suspension either and it's really hard to actually find the brand name out from the sticker on the suspension as the sticker is on the side of the suspension that faces the back of the brake rotor. Talk about bad advertising management

I searched the net too but didn't find much. I'm going to run my car down to Hills Motorport eventually to get them to give it the once over so I'll ask them

I wouldn't be suprised nor shocked to find out that "GET" is a custom Jap suspension. Maybe by some suspension crowd in Japan and only for sale in Japan, or some sort of customizing shop only. I would search the japan sites maybe make a few inquiries there.

www.altavista.com and www.google.com are both great for searching Japanese laungage only sites, and getting a reasonably good english translation.

I have a feeling Iv also seen GET suspension somewhere on a used import.

NiteskyR that is what I would have thought. A mate of mine's R32 GTR came into NZ with GAB and it is hard as hell. His car bounces around like a ball on the streets. It is so suited for track only but maybe that is or was the intention of that particular car.

Razor that is a good point.
One of mine has GAB adjustables on ,we are sure the car has been set up for drifting. The susspension is however not hard at all , the front is set on 1 and the rears on 3 ( fronts 4 way adjust ,rears 8 way ). The steering is also a bit strange ie: when u turn it or rather point it, it holds direction if that makes any sence.

If its of any help I remember seeing a for sale post on gtr.co.uk that included some GET suspension for sale, for quite a cheap price as I remember.

Might be worth a look around ??
