how to raise a coilover suspension? need a swayer tool?

i'm trying to get my car raised for winter. i have KYB GR2 gas shocks, and a Skunk2 coilover kit. A shop said they could raise it to stock height and all i needed was some "swayer tool" they described it as a wrench with teeth. i've been looking for one, but can't find one. so far only tried autozone. don't have time for a wild goose chase. anyone have any ideas?

I'm pretty sure what you need isn't a swayer tool... it is actually called a "spanner wrench" sp? I'm not sure where to get one but they are used on things such as CNC machines and suspension.......
If you put the skunk2's in you should have the wrench.....

looks like these... some have the pivot head for varying sizes and some are solid for one size use...................

Re: how to raise a coilover suspension? need a swayer tool?

i didn't install the suspension, i bought the car with it. i just need to raise the car up for winter ASAP because its slamed and i need to be able to get around, lots of snow here. i don't want to hit an ice chunk on the highway and crack my front bumber.

Re: how to raise a coilover suspension? need a swayer tool?

call skunk2 and ask questions....usually the ride hight is adjusted by the springs (coil overs) not the shocks...

you can probably order a spanner wrench from skunk. or you can check napa, or call snap-on im sure they'll have one

Sometimes you have to make sure you are not over looking the obvious. I turn them with my hand
