Personally I love the boxer grumble of the subby's. But other than that pretty much all the super cars have a pretty sweet exhaust note

STI with DP cut outs + cam = my fave
Srt-4 idle LS1 with dumped exhaust WOT cammed out big block from either the 60s or 70s with that loapy grumble.

Ferrari F355 Maserati 3200 GT AM Vanquish Ferrari F50 Honourable mentions: Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari F40, Porsche 911 (air or water cooled) with sport exhaust, E46 M3 (when being thrashed). I should imagine the McLaren F1 also sounds pretty special but i've never heard one...

never really heard the exhaust on alot of those "exotic" cars...but i have heard a lamborghini diablo and it probably had the best exhaust note i have ever heard.
i think the new VQ and VK engines of nissan's sound pretty nice when romped on pretty hard. hm...thats all i can think of off the top of my head. kinda sad...i need to take a vacation to Europe!!!

pretty much any ferrari. damn i love how those things sound. i like the exhaust notes of mustang gt's/cobras. the subie boxer engines with a free flowing exhaust sound really mean. i heard a B6 S4 take off from an off ramp today. i think it had an exhaust, not quite sure but it sounded really good, really clean.

Aston Martin Vanquish Porsche Carrera GT Honda NSX 3.2 Ferrari 550 Maranello Some other awesome ones include the 4 Rotor Normally Aspirated RX7 that I have a video clip of, it sounds scarily like a Formula One car, the Subaru Impreza 22B has a nice boxer rumble, most big block V8's sound fantastic, the cars in Australias V8 Supercars championship have a very nice and very memorable exhaust note, so do Porsches and the lesser Subaru Impreza WRX's.

Porsche Carrera GT Mercedes SL55 Mercedes G55 Dodge Viper And I'm also gonna have to mention the exhaust note on my '04 Dakota. It's obviously not in the same league as the cars mentioned above, but, it sounds great for a stock truck under $30,000.
