1997 Ranger Abs Light

Well i am back with another problem. This time its the ABS Light. I went to have my tire locks replaced because they were old and when I was driving home from that, my ABS light came on. I took it back to the mechanic and they found no problem because the light was off. It seems that whenever I park either up on a curb or so the front tires are not level, the light goes off. Some days the light will be off and the next day the light will stay on. My brakes are not locking up but that little lightis annoying. Any help would be great.

Re: 1997 Ranger Abs Light

Take the truck to another garage. The ABS will store a code that can be retrieved with light on or off. More than likely it is a speed sensor rhat has started to be out of range. Which one is another question. Have someone with a scanner that can reas ABS speed sensors drive truck with scan tool hooked up and watch the different sensors. One of them will read a different speed while moving. That is the suspect.
