I was wrong...apologies

The standard 4.3 had 160 hp

I guess I better go sue my Local Chevy dealer for false advertisement...when I bought my '94 SS brand new I was told that it was a CPI with 195 hp..and imagine ...they went through all the trouble of printing it in all their brochures too...:huh:

They used the cpi engine(W)(195hp) from 1992 thru 1995. The old (Z)(160hp) tbi 4.3 was used in some also.

all of the above

actually, all of the above engines were offered in different regions. The Hi-Po offerings didn't make it to some regions like the plains states, desert states, and extreme southern states. I travel alot all over this country and Canada with my work and its interesting to see what options make it to different regions. Its not so much that the options aren't available, its just that they are not advertised. For instance, for a few years (although its listed in the brochures) you couldn't get OnStar in Alaska because the signal wasn't available. Trucks with diesels sent for delivery in Nevada have two more fluid coolers than their Pennsylvania counterparts. I had my Dad's PA truck in NV and had to have some warranty work done. The techs were just scratching their heads at the "missing" parts. Even their shop manuals were different showing the extra/different parts.

LU2 = H.O. TBI
L35 = H.O. CPI

It may also be listed as a promotional code. If you look at the RPO lists, in each category there are special codes that don't have a description. For instance when they wanted to make the Tiger Woods version of the Buick Park Avenue, they used the B1Y code entitled "merchandised package: special components." to represent the special seats, 3800 supercharged engine, embroidered interior pieces, and special wheels.
