This is some sick sob

Someone at work today asked me what would you do if one of your family members died, would you bury them or take them out to the trash. While at first I thought it was a joke, it actually is for real.
Here's the news account.. Story Link

now being that the stoy might not be up forever, I'll copy and paste what it says...

Man Accused of Throwing Grandfather's Body in Dumpster

(Passaic-WABC, April 12, 2005) — A 31-year-old man and his mother are behind bars after police say the man threw his dead grandfather in the garbage.
His body was discovered in a dumpster where the man works in Fairfield, New Jersey. Eyewitness News reporter Nina Pineda is in Passaic where the family lived with more. People who knew the grandfather say he worked hard as superintendent of this building for the last 40 years to provide for his family. His daughter and his grandson lived with him. They allegedly repaid that hard work by throwing his body in the trash. Rita Furmosa, Suspect's Boss: "Is this the a grandfather?"
Nina Pineda: "Yeah."
Furmosa: "Of the fellow that was here? Oh, my God..." She has reason to be speechless. The office worker temping for her, 31-year-old Daniel Gil, is accused of tossing his grandfather's body in the dumpster, then spending the day at work like nothing happened. Furmosa: "Actually, we were thinking of hiring him." He is in jail now along with his mother, 61-year-old Maria Gil, both charged with disturbing human remains. One motive police are investigating is that the mom and son may not have wanted to spend the money for a proper burial when the dad died they wrapped his body in a tarp, and tossed it. Robert Lozada, Co-Worker: "Picked it up under his arms like were you carrying a baby, just like tossed him in." Robert Lozado was in the warehouse around 11:00 a.m. when he saw the suspect drive up, and struggle with something in the trunk. But because of the glare of the sun, Daniel Gil, from where he was, couldn t see that inside of the warehouse were his coworkers actually watching his every move. Lozada: "The way the bag looked, we started joking around that it looked like dead body the way he was struggling with it." An employee used a knife to cut open the bag, and inside they saw what they suspected. Police identified the body as 89-year-old Carlos Gil. They arrested his daughter and grandson early this morning and pending an autopsy the pair may be charged with murder. Det. Lt. Steven Gutkin,Fairfield Police Dept. "If a person passes away, the normal course of action would be to notify the police, the ambulance, perhaps or a funeral home as opposed to doing that." They are being held on half a million dollars bail while Essex County investigators try figure out why the victim would be disposed of like this by his own family and worse if they killed him before he wound up in that dumpster.

End of story.......

I usually do not curse, but I must say, this is one fucked up way to end up.
What is wrong with these people. sheesh.

TS out (throwing away the trash)

Respect is a fading concept...it is being replaced by power and greed.

Re: This is some sick sob

Just goes to show that there are a lot of social miscreants without decent breeding or sense.
