Taurus Head Stripped

Anybody know what it would take to replace the head of a Taurus with the Vulcan engine?

One of the spark plugs holes stripped out and won't hold a plug.

Can a machine shop put some kind of sleeve in the head?

There is a "heil-a-coil" kit available that any mechanic should be able to install to fix the threading problem.... Although, I don't rember if it can be done "on car" or if it has to be removed.

Which plug hole is it???

Re: Taurus Head Stripped

We have done it with 100% success. Works great, as long as you can get a drill straight on plug hole.
