Hey guys im looking for my first car ever! i like the g20 and i am intrested in the g20t. One reason why i like the g20t is because it has a lsd! thats great! but it cost alot and im probably taking out the rims and the spoiler and putting my own. its going to suck paying extra just to take out the parts. but i do like the leather seats though... sigh what should i do is the tourning model worth the extra cash even though ill take some parts out?

If youre going to take out the spoiler then you could just get a base G20. I have a '99 G20 with the Leather/Convenience package. Personally, I dont see a big difference between either model besides the LSD, foglights, and the wing. Same engine, same everything. Your call.

if you're going to buy new
you might want to ask the dealer to swap the touring wing out for a discount. there's probably a few people out there who want the wing.

From what I understand all 2002 G20s come with LSD and you can get a 5 speed with the leather and convience package.

I have an '02 G20 - not a sport model unfortunately, and it does not have the LSD. It is a manual with all the options though - that is why I opted for the non-sport model. You would think that Infiniti would make the Sport model, or a greater percentage of them, with a manual.

guys, to be realistic, with a 145hp engine and AT, you may not feel the LSD working on the streets. I have a 01 luxury model with the leather package, AT, heated seats, etc.etc.etc. and foglamps (which I put on there last week for only $190). with the better tires I use now on 17inch wheels, I can floor the G coming out of a corner and still not get much understeer.
if you have a MT, you might feel it working. you should consider getting better tires before LSD. the stock junk Affinity tires aren't that bad for normal driving though. |
