OK. I've notice that on the header pipes next to the block (by the bolts that hold it to the engine) there is some sooty black stuff on several of the pipes. I'd take a picture, but: 1. I don't have the time right now, and 2. I suck at uploading and sizing the damn things (as you can tell from my sig).
YES, I can smell exhaust while driving it (ever so slightly) and really notice it after I've gotten out of the car.... my clothes actually smell like exhaust... and I'm not talking farts either. ![]() IF this is a leak, Do I have to replace the headers / gaskets, or is there something else that will fix this? |

Unless you used copper or some metal exhuast gasket your going to need to replace it cause the gasket is burnt through. Copper exhuast gaskets are nice because if you did not seal it 100% they will not burn through like paper. downside is they tend to be a lil harder to get to seal cause they are thinner. BTW Nice car in the sig, I like it a lot.

I know what you mean. Mine is doing ther same damn thing. I'm leaking from both side of the manifold and right where the y-pipe begins to make the y into the manifold, black sut was all over and it stinks. Every time i get out my smell too.
