This one is the most true to my knowledge....You spent $5,000 or more on the engine and you still can't out run a stock Camaro, Firebird, or Mustang.

I bogged out for around 5 secs, missed 3rd gear, and still kept up with B18 hatches. prob around $3,000 investment for them. $500 for me.

Just because this is such a diverse forum, compared to other sites. But hey, I'll let it slide, but if an issue comes up, it will be closed.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

oh man this is some good stuff but this one struck a nerve along with a flash back:

You have more exhaust decibels than your engine has horsepower.

Me and my friend went down to tha lake front to see if there was any intersting cars down there (that night, talked to the first owner of an '05 mustang in our city, the next the Maniac car club was there, and we ahve decided they are mustang only becuase the had around 50 of them there). we get there pull in, and this gut wrechnig noise truns a few heads, we look and there's a civic about 2" off the ground with an exhaust that literally sounded like the constant croak of a frog on a busted up mega phone.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

well personally i could too considering that i'm a personal fan of the RX-7, and once wanted a del sol, well i still do..but not becuase it performs better than mustangs and other muscle cars (far from it) but because that variable timing technology (V-TECH) does give it a bit (just a bit) better fuel economy. And it's zippy enough to make driveing from point a to point b fun. (also i was htinkign of this outrageous idea of modifying it so the engine would be in trucnk in stead, and then change out that four cylinder for a chevy 327...small ass car, big ass engine...you get the idea)

Re: Some fun for you guys.

Yeah i love the fact the rx7 has a 1.3l and they get insane amounts of power out of them but thats besides the point. I see riced out mustangs, camaro's, and so one for domestic cars and then you try and they sit there and act like they have the fastest car ever made. Im not kidding theres a cobra down here with an apc wing from autozone, theres a yellow 97gt with euros and a blitz front bumper. Theres also alot of gts as well as v6 mustangs running around with dual fart pipes. Yeah im used to getting ragged on for driving a honda but i dont care anymore. The funniest thing is to see a cavalier, sunfire, zx2 escort, whatever compact domestic or import loaded with the stupidest looking bodykit, fart can, euros, and a wing that looks like somthing on a biplane and they call it a show car or a drag car. Il agree riced out cars look dumb but theres a lot of imports out there that would suprise the shit out of some people.

oh yeah a front wing looks like this.

http://www.overboost.com/obs/hin/pro...d=118&sc_name=

Pretty much a smaller less useful version of the huge ass spoiler on the front of an f1 car. There also known as front lip spoilers.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

I'm all for american muscle, but some people would be suprised at the power coming from a rotary('87 rx7 turbo II)... my friend has one that with a clogged cat, and i gave a zo6 some trouble last weekend... i'm not saying we won but we suprised the crap out of the rich old dude on a power trip. Now when it's all said and done you wouldn't believe the work we had to do just to refurbish it back to STOCK condidtion. and in the end i'll stick with domestic after that import rebuild experience.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

I wouldnt point out the rotory motor specifically great enginering though. But any import in general, for instance i have a friend with an old crx he ripped out the original motor and put in a sohc vtec 1.5. Yeah its stock in most newer civics thn he turbocharged and intercooled it. The car runs mid 11's yeah i tell this story alot but its a good way to show how imports dont need alot of motor for power. I like my domestics just as much my imports.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

ok nvmy i've seen those before lol, yeah personally ithink the thing ia rink a dink piece of plastic for someone that couldn't afford a full bumper to style his ride. And speaking of being an enthusiats, i personally believe it's possible to merge the ricer and muscle car world with out stepping to far in one direction like i see all over new orleans, i see about 12 mustangs a day with euros or some other clear lens tail light (though some of them aren't THAT bad) and after market rink a dink fiberglass spoilers that are either 6 ft tall or jsut some disfunctional ellaborat design. though the one car group i can say i don't like that much would be the exotics.

Re: Some fun for you guys.

ah...somehow that reminds me of that idea with the del sol and the 327. How may you ask, watching too many car shows on tv, and one of them did a review on this guy who took his crx and dropped a chevy 327 in his trunk and fitted the intake on the hatchback's side windows, that thing smocked joust about everything on the track, hell why wouldn't it, the only wait it had was the body, frame, driver, and the essential parts to make it move (engine, trans, etc.), but of course that's nothing you can drive on the street so oh well.

But look it up should be drifting some were on the net.
