im looking for a steering column for a 1982 chevy caprice classic does anyone have one or know where to get one?

I got a whole 84 parts car. It's pretty much complete - engine. column is brown i think.

are the 82 and 84 interchangable?

I'm almost possitive that they are. my sister has an 82 that i put the rest of the interior in out of the 84. everything was identicle except color. didn't switch dash or column, but they were identicle

I replied to your post back in the Caprice forum for possible sources for your steering column. To see if the '82 and '84 are compatible, I'd check with a Hollander manual. If you can't get access to one call a salvage yard and ask them. From what I can remember, I think '81-'85 might work.
