Question Will it fit? Is there a differenceż

I was looking around on hondamotorsonline and noticed they had the b16a2 in a long block and short but the short was less $. Will the long block fit just a easy as the short block or what do they mean.

When an engine is listed as a "long block" it usually comes with a transmission and axles and everything you need for the swap. A short block is usually just the block and head and sensors.

I don't believe that is it because the "long block" is listed for about 1200 less then the non long block is. But you could still be right

Ok well in your first post, you said that the short block was cheaper.

But anyway, I just poked around on HMO.com and I couldn't find what you were talking about. Maybe a link...? Because I'm pretty sure I'm right, and if the long block is in fact cheaper (although I don't know why it would be) buy that thing!

hondamotorsonline.com sells the entire engine with everything needed (ie: axles, ecu, trans, linkage etc..) or you can just buy the engine without all that..just the engine, intake man, exhaust man, senors, injectors, fuel rail...basically everything you need if you have the tranny...oh yeah..no ecu, but that is like 225.

i dont see anything there about shortblock, but i think the solguy is right, usually when something is listed longblock it comes with everything needed. and when it is shortblock it doesnt come with intake man and crap like that...but i could be wrong..

but i just bought that b16a Sir1 from hmo and it came with everything i needed, but i didnt need the tranny. and it fit fine, only i have an integra, i dont know how it fits a sol.
