AMT Mustang

Anyone done amt's 67 Mustang, am thinking of buying but am wondering about build quality. I'm to used to tamiya. Its a great looking car though .

Yeah

I just bought the '67 Mustang Fastback. It looks like a decent kit, but preliminary test fitting shows the front and rear bumpers dont really go on that good to the body. Also you have to paint your own instrument gauges, which are TINY!!!!

Looks to be like a "fun" build, gonna take me a long time to get the chrome trim down and all, matching colors is gonna be a pain too

I built the AMT 67 Mustang GT and like most AMT models it needed some work. The gauges are hard to paint and the trunk lid lifts off but why I dont know they forgot to do detail to the trunk. The tail lights did not fit to good. And the Wheels did not look to good to much extra plastic needed cleaned off mine. I changed them with parts box wheels and added a hood scoop from my trashed 1963 Mustang 2 prototype.

AMT 67

In addition to the above comments I found the front suspension did not locate the wheels very accurately - I have seen a few pictures of this kit built up and they all look like the front wheels are sticking too far out. I didn't modify it to look better.
