Carbon fiber look altezza's... have I eaten too much rice?

Well... I had some cash that I wanted to spend (I shouldn't have because I'm saving for some rims... but I did anywayz) and I ordered some CF look altezza's. They should be in on Thursday so I'll have pics for you guyz for sure. But what do you guyz think? I mean, my car is charcoal grey (almost black)... I thought maybe it would look pretty nice. I got the new (really) DOT legal ones with the reflectors on the side.

Will have to see I guess... its all personal preferance. I personally HATE stock altezzas -- because you really arent modifying your car really because 50000 other ricers have the same exact thing -- if you CUSTOMIZE them, then they are differant... But hey whatever floats your boat man, its your car do what you want!

i got the CF ones for my crx the other day, the gen4 DOT legal ones, and they are 100% better then my old tezzas i had on their, my car is white however, so the CF makes a nice contrast with it. if i had a pic of my car id put it up.

I put a pair on my 02 ex and they are bitchin. I love them when i went from stock to cf tails i pissed my pants (not really but almost). I love them and i think you will too.

Yeah... my main concerns when ordering them were:

1) They have all the necessary reflectors (rear and side facing) and
2) They didn't have the ugly silver outline that borders the tail lights... because I thought that would completely throw off the entire color matching thing I'm going for.

But anywayz... I'll take pics when I put the in... and if I don't like them, I'll sell them.

I personally DETEST altezzas; all 100 something types and variations and generations of them. But it's your car so do what you like to it.

I never did like the regular altezza's myself... but I am going to try the CF one's out because it may look pretty good if the colors match... but again, if I don't like them I won't keep them.

I really wish they made some for my car that are like the ones they make for the '97 Accord and '01 Civic. They come with a lens that is completely red (except for the reverse lamp) but the internals of the tail lights are altezza style... so they have a transparent red look to them in the day, but regular altezza style at night.

But yeah... whatever... again, we'll see what happens.

i am a former altezza owner. i had the 2nd generation euros cuz let's face it, they were cool as hell when they first came out. but they just got played out HORRRRIBLY. my red/clears came in yesterday and i had to work, but you can bet when i got home at 11:00 last nite, i set up my work light outside and put them in. i actually like them better than my altezza's cuz they are cleaner, and they remind me of an Si ;D

P.S. they came with some amber turn signals, but i didn't use them cuz i already bought some hyperwhite ones. So if anybody needs/wants some amber rear turn signals for a 96-00 civic, email me......

I've always like the CF altezza's for our gen hatchies ... well only the ones with the two ovals ... these were the only one i liked ...

I am proud to say that my Hatch rolls on stock tails, it's cool if tezzies are your thing, not mine, I do admit the CF's I seem to tolerate on black/grey cars.

Well, the one's I liked came in but they are for coupes/sedans... so I waited another few days and then the hatchback one's came in. They were ugly as hell. I now have in store credit and I think I'll put that towards new projectors... the angel eyes. My old projectors will then probably be up for sale.
