Question Supercharger

You guys know whether or not the supercharger they ise for the Xterra and the frontier would work easily with the spec v? after the warrant is up, i may go that route. will any gearing issues arise form the added hp?

I predict Stillen and/or Jackson Racing will have one by this time next year. The s/c seems like a good solution to widening the powerband (which I was just preaching about in another thread). A good, linear torque curve is important in an enjoyable street ride. The Spec-V will benefit a lot from it.

You guys don't have to worry about warranty issues if you can hold off on mods. 'til the fall of 2002. Nismo is comming to North America. All nismo mods are fully covered by the manufacturer's waranty.

Does anyone know for sure what exactly NISMO is going to be carrying for the SpecV's. I saw the concept car, so I know that they will make headers(although they called EXHAUST MANIFOLD) I saw a strut bar and carbon fiber valve cover. Are they going to be making cat-backs, intakes, suspension, clutches? Ya know........stuff. I also saw in sentrab15 that JUN and BLITZ are going to be making stuff as well. Is this true?:alien:

Undoubtedly, plenty of companies will be making parts for the SE-R. The kind of power most of us enthusiasts crave, however, is only going to come with forced induction. I seriously doubt Nismo will be offering turbo or supercharger kits, because they're trying to keep all their parts under factory warranty. And I wonder if Nismo is going to offer any internal parts at all. So far, I haven't heard anything, but the QR25DE has everything polished, ported, and lightened from the factory. Now JUN will probably sell a number of engine parts. It'll be interesting to see what develops. But I'm still holding out for the major mods.

Don't wait on either of these two.....Jackson Racing has already denied making one and saying they'll have no plans to make one in the future either....And I am in high doubt that Stillen sill touch it as well.....
