Can parts that are black anodized be painted? The windshield wiper arms on my accord are becoming bare in some areas and the metal is showing through. It looks bad and the worrst part is that I can see when i drive and it's annoying. I was thinking of painting them body color, black pearl so it's not going to be really dramatically different. i could paint then matte black too.
Anyway is there anything special i need to do to get this stuff to accept paint? I was planning on cleaning sanding and priming it then sanding it and laying on a couple coats of color. I guess if i had to i could get a steel wire disc and a power drill and basically remove all of the anodized coating. Any suggestions??? Thanks |

that would be the right way to go, clean, sand, primer, sand, base, top coat, (possible sand), clear coat top. Just take your time and it should come out fine.
