Painting Black rubber on doors!!

Hi! I own a 1997 Honda Civic DX coupe. I think that the black rubber lines on the doors are ugly. I was planning on painting these things myself because i figure that it would be cheaper. I already painted my side skirts and me and my friend did a pretty good job on them. I was wondering if anybody painted these things before and has any suggestions on how i should go about this? I hear that the paint doesn't stay on well on these because of the hard rubber. Any tips would be helpful. -97HCiViC

yeah, my friend search did this, maybe you should check him out and you'll find exactly what you need.

but since you're lazy, I talked to him for you, read this, you do the same thing for your moldings

it best to remove them. have fun with it tho, its not easy!! i was gonna spend a whole weekend doing that and aswell as my mirrors and door handles, well i was never able to get the molding off. take off your interior door panel, and you'll see a bunch of blue clips, careful not to break anything while your at it

are you serious? I can fix all the dents in a car and paint the whole thing, including engine bay and door jams in a weekend.
