Keeping white rims clean.
I think I've kinda learned the hard way why most people don't go for the white rims. I live about an hour south of LA and I don't see any cars at all with white rims so I felt like being different. I;ve found that they are a huge bitch to keep clean. I was just wondering if there are any tricks of the trade out there for keeping them clean. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I get a lot of brake dust to go along with all the dirt/grime. Hopefully someone will come through with a good tip to keep them clean.

I am getting my car repainted in a few months and I'm almost tempted to get the rims painted a more faded white so the dust isn't as visible.

I just wanted to help all you fellow white rim guys out there...At Pep Boys I got a wheel cleaner spray that works great. It's called Eagle One A 2 Z All Wheel Cleaner. Just spray it, wait 10 seconds, then hose it off. No wiping necessary at all. Hope this helps.

I just got some of these to go with these. I bought my buddy's 16" white wheels for my 92 Si and got some EBC Green Stuff brake pads to help keep them clean. I haven't had them on long enough yet to be able to say, "Yeah they work!" or "Hell naw, that's bullsh*t," so time will tell on that one.
But I wanted to give you a heads up in case you wanted to take the plunge & give them a try. |

i've bought three different brushes from wal-mart and auto zone, the best one so far is the one i got a auto zone. it fits all in the wheel so i can get every little spot of dirt. the best thing i think is just car wash. takes me about 10 minutes a wheel to do a good job. takes dedication...
