Posting Pictures
Can anyone help me with posting pictures. I have a digital camera and a card that goes into a docking bay on my PC. I have a cool picture of my truck I wanted to show since some of you guys asked me to post one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
By the way, computers can drive me nuts>

Re: Posting Pictures
here we go,
Up at the top of the screen we got a listing at the top of the screen ex. Home | Forums | Gallery | Articles | Critics | Helper | Directory | Wheels & Tires | AF Project Vehicle | Corporate Click on Gallery. on the right side of the screen click register. Register and then log in. then click "upload photos" This is in the same spot that "register" was in. It will then take you to the upload page. Click "Browse" to look for the photo on your computer or type the file location in the box. When you are finished click "upload/submit" YOUR FILE MUST BE UNDER 80KBs. It will take you to another page. Click "Process Files" Then click back to main menu. Then click on the photo in the list that is below and copy the link and paste it into either your post or your signature (the signature will post the photo with every post, thats the way alot of ours are)

Thanks! I'll be sure to do that. I have a couple of good shots.

Re: Posting Pictures
Ok, one more thing. How does someone resize an image so it will fit under 80k? After this I should be set.

Re: Posting Pictures
Okay, go to "paint" in you computer. Open the image that you are wanting to resize and select "image" on the toolbar select strech/skew. then enter 45 for vertical and horizontal and hit ok. this should be enough if not downsize it a little more. save it and try it again. If you need more help let me know

Re: Posting Pictures
You can also download free programs that can resize large groups of photos in much less time than doing them individually. EZthumbs is free from download.com, that's what I use. Like it a lot.

Re: Posting Pictures
I already tried the stretch and skew thing but maybe I didn't make it small enough. I'll try it again. It seems that no matter how much I reduce the actual size of the picture, it doesn't reduce the bytes down to 80K. Thanks for the help guys, it is appreciated.

Re: Posting Pictures
When you savethe file on your PC make sure you choose jpg and not bmp. JPG is a smaller file.

Re: Posting Pictures
Yeah they're already JPG's. I'm in a real pickle here. Sorry for all the questions. If I can get the pictures down I'm fine. There all roughly 787K but no matter how much I down size them it still says there the same size....Dumb computer.

Re: Posting Pictures
After you resize your picture do you go up to 'file' and 'save as'? I think that's the way I did it after I made a copy of the picture I wanted to use. Then I still had my original and a smaller version to post.
