just a theory

Perth, western australia is a top place really

some interesting facts about perth

highest amount of swimming pools per head in the world.
highest amount of wrx's per head in the world.
highest amount of harley davisons' per head in the world.
highest amount of dickheads driving 1.8 litre lancers in the world.

this last point is probably the most relevant, heres how it went. driving back fron uni the other night, and i notice a lancer stopped at the lights, (ok iv seen the car b4, the guy has a custom twin exhaset, PHAT bodykit carbon fiber hood, big crome mags and low profile tyres. oh yeh also a 1.8 n/a litre motor) so as the story goes, he revs at me first, light goes green and with a good launch i pulled a car length on him as i shift into second, going into 3rd i almost felt bad for him (almost).

is there some kinda ricer equasion?

maybe RICE = E+Pk+M+S+X-Hp multiplied by IQ

where
E - huge exhaust
Pk- phat body kit
M - Massive mags
S - stickers
X - ricer x factor retardness
Hp - horse power

This equasion will find total a persons rice factor, please note total RICE is directly and reversly proportional to Penis size.

Re: just a theory

Yeah, "per head", cos there's nobody living there, hahaha....just some frinedly interstate rivalry

And what is this slang "mags". Nobody seems to have a consistent deifnition for it. Is it just any aftermarket rims? I still prefer to call them rims.

But yeah, I totally get what you mean with the lancers. Saw one with 4, yes count them: 1,2,3,4 exhaust tips. You also get a lot now with the full evo bodykits...rear drum breaks always give them away....obviously too many other things give them away as well.

I have fairly big exhaust.

Each primary on my headers is bigger than most ricer's actual exhaust pipes. 1 7/8".

The term "mags" refer to wheels made of magnesium. If the wheel isn't made of magnesium it isn't a mag.

Re: just a theory

First time I've seen anyone come up with a ricer equation to figure out your factor of rice...well done.

Thanks for that. A lot of people here in Aus call everything mags, I always had a suspicion it meant more than just rims.

Re: just a theory

Isn't magnesium like a hella lightweight metal? Sorry, slept through chemistry class in high school.

Yep, it has been used for a lot of different parts through out the history of racing. They even used to make full bodies out of it. However in accidents the metal would combust and start on fire. Magnesium fires burn very hot and can't be extinguished with water.

It is still used today though. WRC cars use it for different parts like transmission casings.

Yes, and thus concludes this episode of Mr. Science with your host Polygon. Next week we will learn how to make plutonium from common household items.
