Power door locks

hey guys got a question, my cars got a power door lock system already, and it uses a single button to close and open the doors. I wanted to shave my door handles and was wondering if there was a way i could hook up my old door lock system to the new unlock and lock features i will be getting on the new remote with the door handle kit?

Re: Power door locks

you may have to drill out the rivets and re position the sylinoid but yea. You can also just use the sylinoid to open the door if you wanted. If you are shaving all the handles you wont even need the doors locked anyway. Plus if pulling the interior handle unlocks the door, you'll just need a spring to constantly keep the door locked. Then use the sylanoid as your door pop by making it so that it pulls/pushes on the same rod as the interior door handle.

If he installs door poppers to pop the doors once they are unlocked he'll want to be able to lock the doors for sure, otherwise someone can just come up and hit the popper underneath and get in the car.

Re: Power door locks
