gt or lx exhaust

i have a 1988 mustang gt. i am looking at getting either mac of magnaflow exhaust catback for it. recently looking i noticed that the lx models have stainless 3' tips while the gt models only have the turndowns. is it possible to use the 3' tips and the lx model exhaust for my gt. i think it would look much bettter.

Yes but you need to either cut your GT rear bumper to let the LX pipes come through it or convert to a Cobra or LX style rear bumper where provisions for the pipes are already there.

i'd rather have my prelude ... but that is the hotness, i must admit. and go with MAC... but if you don't mind losing sound, but like gaining a lot of hp, go with borla most def. up to 21% hp gain, well, at least it used to before i got into the import world about 2 years ago.
