Engine swap CIVIC DX 95

I just got my 95 Civic DX. i plan to go for an engine swap. Question: Do I need to swap tranny also? I saw that many swaps come with tranny. I will rather spend more in a better engine than in the tranny. I my reasing right?

First of all what swap are you going to be doing? As long as it's a D-series motor then you can use your tranny. if your wanting to go B16A or B18C then you will need a new tranny because a D series tranny wont bolt up to a B series block and vise versa and so on.
