How to beat a Z06

Yesterday i was out driving around bored cuz i didn't feel like
doing anything else, and this 25ish year old guy pulles
up next to me a stop light.

I look over and he's driving a bright yellow Z06. I tapped my horn
and he looked over, and i called through my window "nice car!".
He said yeah, nicer then anything you'll ever own!!

Now before i continue, i have a question. Why do people with nice
cars always act like pricks when someone compliments them?

Anyways, i figured hey, i'll lose it, but i was offended and wanted to
surprise the guy. I yelled at him "Alright, rev it up as high as you
dare. We'll pop the clutch and see who gets to the next lights first."

This moron takes the bate and revs his engine up like hell.

The light turns green, i floor the gas and the Bonneville is off like a
shot from a gun. The moron in the vette burns out for about 10 seconds before realizing he's gonna keep doing that unless he lets the gas up, then starts to come after me. By the time he covered the distance between himself and me, i had already stopped for the next red light.

I put my windows up, tunred on the radio, pointed and laughed at him.
Of course he took off like crazy when the light turned green, but i turned left so it really doesn't matter.

So yeah, how DO you beat a guy with a Z06? Sucker the moron into
burning out so you can launch and kick his ass. Wet roads help too.
(heavy snow here, and wet roads helped him spin and stay spinning).

One other factor i thought was funny, was that i beat him with the traction control on. LOL!!!

I guess an overwhelming advantage in HP doesn't matter if the driver is stupid.

So new formula for how fast a car is:

Horsepower/weight of the car+IQ of the driver.

wich in the case of the z06 diver was like -120.

i know an asshole who has a Transam he raced a Z06 it burnout for a while on purpose and then when he couldn't hear it screaching anymore it shot past him

Good on ya mate! Like yourself when ever I pull up next someone with a nice car I will compliment them on it, though I have never had that type of experience of insult coming back. On the other hand I have had others say the same thing to me and I am always more than happy to say thank you and hopefully be able to give one back.

As Moppie, PrimeraMan, Taranaki, all of AF can vouch I am really open guy who not only likes to share information but the passion of high performance.

People like the dick head with the Z06 you ran into give the rest of us out there with something nice a bad rap before we get a chance to show we are not. The way I look at it we all start somewhere. Once we get to that car that is us, we should always reflect back at when we drove a real shitter the first time and remember how it felt to see that nice car. Like my very first car which was a 1977 Monte Carlo Landu that had 30% rust on it hahaha. What bomb but it got me around.

Hummmmm now that I think about it I hope one day I run into someone like that. They may be in for a bit of a shock when I shit all over them hehehehe.
