one kill -- one death

finally some racing with the bmw.

Today i needed to clear my mind, so i decided to take a trip to the city called Gent.
When i almost needed to take my exit not far from the city i pass one nice slk compressor. He immediatly set himself behind me and tryed to keep up with me, atleast, that's what i thought . When we hit a light i spotted instead of the normal emblem of the slk one nice BRABUS emblem. "Damn" i said to myself. i'm gonna get murdered....

I revved it up to 4000 rpms. Then kept it at 2000 rpms.

Green. i slipped the clutch a bit to keep the tcs 'at non working status' and took a nice jump. But when i shift to second he blows by me and took 2 lenghts like really fast.
i was like wow..... 3 gear, and now he's already 3.6 or so lenghts ahead.
I was like ok, enough... i took it back to regular touring speed and thought about it.

I never knew that if brabus tuned a benz they replaced there emblem with it.

Now on to the victory .

On my way back a 7 series bmw (the new ones 2005) is chasing me when i'm passing on the second lane. I was actually ignoring him until a light comes on. RED.....
Side by side we are checking eachother rides. The driver looked middle twenties. I wasn't sure if he wanted to race so when it became green i waited a fraction. Saw him bring up the nose pretty well so gave it all i had.
At the end of first my nose is at his front wheel. Second, i creep closer and w'ere now dead even. Im a little bit faster through second but not much.
Third.. I'm now just up ahead fo him, maybe a meter between us (like 4 feet).
In fourth now and still making the space between me and the 7 bigger. When i shifted to 5th i was like 3 lenghts in front of him. Then i shutted down, wich he also did.

Now that was a nice afternoon. My blood is now refreshed for another week

Bimmers are sexy, especially yours.

That first race made me laugh. And it was a good death indeed. But I'll be honest, I've never heard of Brabus before. Care to take some time and tell me what they do?

As for your kill, good job. LOL, I agree with ViperJ. Driving always clears my mind. L8...

Re: one kill -- one death

What model 7 was it? A 45 or 60? The new 760s will move (It'll take out a 325i, it has a 0-60 at 5.4, and I think the 325i is something like a mid to high 6.0). Hell, even the 745i/iLs run a 14.6, and the 325iruns a 15.4, so I would think the 320 runs something a touch north of that. Not callin BS or anything, but I dont think the 7 was really trying, unless you get a 725 or 730 over there.

Re: one kill -- one death

CivRacer->Brabus is to MB what Dinan is to BMW.

lol, if it was one of those bmw 7's you mentioned it was indeed major bullshit i'm spreading around....
But it was the 730 i guess. Could'nt see it cause i stayed in front of him the whole time.
I did already beat one and i tolled here about it, half a year ago.
That was a 730 and it was dead even till the end then, but i need to mention that i missed my third so otherwise i would have won.
That's why i think it was a 730, not a 725. And yes offcourse we get them here. They are practilly born not far from so why shouldn't they.

Hope that helped

Re: one kill -- one death

All we get in the US are the 745s and 760s. I guess BMW AG doesn't see the need for a lower priceed uberluxery sedan. Yeah, the 760 and 745s can really get out of there own way, lol.

here's a link to their homepage www.brabus.com.

Yeah it's really interesting to see that most of my races were against other german cars. Guess they want to see who's the fastest one DUH...

hehe

Ps: my guess is it was the slk 200 kompressor with the brabus k2 tuning kit. around 186hp.
The BMW was the 2004 730d
