How should i hook up a 99' Civic ex coupe?

like it says in the subject, my friend (girl by the way) just bought a 99' civic 2dr ex and she wants to hook it up and i want her too but she wants to put like all the stuff im gonna try and avoid on putting on my car. she wants to put that neon blue light thing around her license plate. , lol. i told her to talk to me b4 doing anything on her car so she wont make her car look nasty and disappoint the honda world. im gonna need a little help from you guys cuz u know what ur talkin about. Nothing TOO pricey though. i suggested nice super white bulbs. i dont know what to do to it so help me out. (she originally put a down payment on a ford escort but i made fun of it so i think thats why she decided to switch to a honda civic cuz i talk about it all the time hahaha. im such a influence)

well u could always put euro tail lights on it and put some new lights in the front, cant go wrong with that, put under body neons on it
what color is the car? could try painting the insides, put a sound system in
bout the price depends on what the miles were, i dont tihnk its too bad, i wouldnt have paid that much, but thats just me.
and a good rule to stick by dont make it look sweet and not be able to back it up with power.

i was thinking of putting street glow but i wanted her to hook up her car a little bit more, i was thinking of her putting little headlight covers. the ones that cover the light a little bit and change the look of the headlight, not sure what they are called. do you know anything specific she should do to the car though? i was thinking changing the filter to have better intake and a new exhaust system, also a new stereo system. anything else she should put?

Lower it with a set of Eibach Prokit springs, get AGX KYB shocks (cheap!) for a good ride w/ a lowered stance.

Then an intake/exhuast for the sound/look/power.

Maybe a body kit and a set of cheap (tenzo tenzo tenzo) rims.

Audio system.


Altezzas are retarded - i hate it when i see a car that's ABSOLUTELY stock except for like..altezzas and a fag can..uh..."universal muffler"

tell her to take her time and spend wisely if she wants a nice "hooked up" car. Don't let her buy LED lights, Type-R badges, or any of that gay crap.

i didnt want her to get altezzas either cuz EVERYONE has em and its just played out, its kinda nice but too played out. i think she should also add indiglo white face gauges.

personally, id stay away from euros, and neon and go for a cleaner look. Id lower it, maybe some rims, and i/h/e is always a good start

if performance it the case put some new rims on, lower it, new muffler and intake, and u can get 2 12" mtx 8000 in the back with no problem, ive got mine in a pretty big banpass box and have some room left. go to www.summitracing.com for prices i got my speakers 2 for $350
shave the door handles for a clean look, i wouldnt get the light covers, they dont look to good i think

but the thing is, shes gonna put nasty stuff on it and i dont want that to happen to a civic. its just not right. i want it to look nice and if she did what she wanted to do then it would look nasty so......... im just helping her

no neon no altezzas. lower it puts some OEM side skirts, a nice front lip and a nice plain rear valance. get some 17 in wheels a CAI and a muffler. it will look clean, sound good, and pack a little punch.

hahaha, ur funny . The bottom line is that shes gonna follow my advice and of course shes gonna choose what she wants to put in her car, im just helping her out and keeping her from doing stupid stuff that look ugly based on my opinion. if she really wants to do something, she will probably do it anyway. she wants me to help her out and say what i think is nice and what she should do cuz, well.... shes a girl, and obviously dont know much about what u need to do to a car to make it nice. Dont get me wrong, i barely know anything about cars myself, but im gonna ask around and learn, im only 16 years old! lol. but i wanted to get the civic for a while then she got it and i would like to see it hooked up nicely and she will think so also. we r gonna work on it to make it look nice based on both of our tastes, not just mine so RELAX a bit.
