Unhappy Hilux kit debate..was this made?

Hey,

A few other AF'ers and I were debating on this. They showed me this pic that someone off some site, I don't remember. Someone has apparently built a Hilux extented cab. I said, I have never seen aoshima release this. So, is it a kit I missed somehow? Or is this a scratchbuild? It looks really good by the way. Which made me wonder if it was released.

Experts? Older AF'ers?

Thanks,
Frank X.

That is one of the 4 door kits. The extended cab's rear windows are lower then the front. Did you guys find out who built that yet?

Aoshima's entire Pickup Series lineup. If it's not there, they didn't make it.

Re: Hilux kit debate..was this made?

Thanks. That is the current series tho. There were older versions of the 4 door kit. But thanks.
Isn't there an Aoshima enthusiast on this forum?

That is not one of bills trucks.. Here a link to the guy who built it..
Http://www.streetsourcemag.com/Profi...rofileid=32172 I forget his name but im 100% sure thats not bill.. As for the kit maker it is a one off. Ive never seen just an extended cab hilux.. that also looks to be the older style hilux so im guessing its based off the aoshima version with teh extended part being scratch.. Later Rick

Re: Hilux kit debate..was this made?

Is it customminiatures' work? It seems like his sort of thing, and I seem to remember him doing a similar build as part of a forum-wide build somewhere else, though it may have been a Ford instead of a Toyota. Next time I see him online, I'll link him to this thread. If it's not his, odds are he'll know who it belongs to.

Extended cab, no door lines no handles, not long enough for a second door
