Questions about a car..

Ok. First off I want to say I am the LEAST likely "bench racer" out of anyone. I ALWAYS prefer to race and actually find out whose car is faster. There in lies the problem, but I'll get to that later. Here's the story:

Where I talk about racing and beating an turbo AWD GSX eclipse. After the whole cop incident (we raced, mustang got pulled over, I ran), I went back to where the GSX and Mustang guys were, in my other car (Least conspicuous car I owned Olds Aurora), and started talking to the GSX guy. He claimed to run in the mid-high 12's in the 1/4 mile.

Well tonight a very good buddy of mine calls me out the blue. He had just got done talking to the guy who owned the GSX at the Waffle House. Appareantly the GSX owner didn't know he was talking to a very good friend of mine, because he started spouting off claims that he "smoked my ass" and "his GSX is pushing 400 horsepower." My buddy said the GSX owner is ready at any time to kick my ass again, and he's telling this bullshit to EVERYONE.

At first, I didn't think too much about it, because I'm at work and its 3:30 a.m. But the more and more I think about it, the more it REALLY pisses me off. This little fuckwit is going around telling God knows who that he beat my cars ass. My only questions are these: If his car really did have 400 horsepower, wouldn't it be like an 11 second car? Or a high 10 second car? Im asking this here because I am REALLY ignorant when it comes to these kinds of cars. I always read you guys talking about AWD DSM cars, and how they can haul ass for not much money. But, I know FOR A FACT he told me he had a mid 12 second car, and he told my best friend that he had a 400 horsepower car. Is that really the times this car should pull? Or is he shooting a load of bullshit to everyone he meets.

The MAIN problem is I have no way of shutting him up for a while. Like I said earlier, I HATE "Bench Racing", but my Nova has been sidelined for roughly 3 weeks with a severe tranny problem (It's about to pulled out and rebuilt for a THIRD fucking time since this big block swap), and It doesn't look like its going anywhere for quite a while. So, while he is spouting off these lies to everyone he meets, I have no way of putting him in his place and shutting him up. It just REALLY pisses me off that someone would so BLATANTLY lie about a race, after he seemed like such a cool guy.

I'm not sure exactly what year it is but most years of the GSXs weight around 3100 Lb's so they are not as light as they look but I would say with 400 Horsepower on a semi lite car with a all wheel drive platform (which may hurt him up top because of power loss but off the line and 1/4 wise will rip up the road/track) it should be in the low 12's or high 11's from what little knowledge I have with these cars but I could see it running mid 12's.

Could race him in your WS6? Sounded like you beat this guy pretty bad before. And now that hes talking all this shit about 400hp and beating you. Im willing to bet hes probably full of BS about everything and his cars probably a 13sec or slower car.

a mid 12 is possible. 400hp for a GSX is not that much. an evo with 350whp at all 4 wheels only runs a mid 12's to low 12. and they still trap at over 110mph. i mean unless hes one hell of a driver i dont' see him running 11's. and again, a 400hp GSX should still trap over 110mph so its not like they lack top end either.

agreed he is probably a not so great driver in a good car so he won't run better than mid 12's w/ 400hp with a good driver it should hit high 11's now whether or not he actually does hit 12's and has 400hp, you'd have to post a mod list for that
