obd II question
i was curious how difficult it would be to drop a h23a into a 99 civic ex with a 5 speed. would i have any problems with odb I or II or would it be a rather easy swap? also does anyone know how strong the internals are on the engine? otherwise, does it work well with a turbo?

Well you cant do it because you have to have the same year motor as the car or newer to make it legal. Try looking at a H22A4.

H22 has somewhat less of a popular engine to mod as compared to the B series, but H23 is totally not worth doing. Unless of course youre getting a super great deal on in AKA free.
just my 2 cents |

The motor is built pretty good to handle the turbo but it would be kinda hard to jam a turbo under the hood of a civic(limited room). If i were you i would think about a B16A2(99-00 Si) or the B18C1(94-01 GSR) motor. Even the B18B1(94-01 LS) motor would be ok. Good luck tho.
