OBD question 95 Lesabre

The underhood decal says it has OBD1 but the plug under the dash is OBD2. I don't really know which one it is. I tried to hook my scanner to it and it says ERR. Thought it might be my scanner so I took it to a local parts house that lets you use their scanner and it wouldn't read it either. Car seems to run ok but check engine light stays on. I'm lost on this one, thanks for any help you can provide.

95 was the change over year, and it seems your car either has the wrong decal or wrong plug.

I post this for reference. You probably know this already.

OBDI-hybrids (94-96) use a OBDII styls connector.
