No...
These were dumped to Hobby Lobby stores. I think there were still some around my local stores after the last 50% off sale.

Not rare at all, got a fresh one from Tamiya not too long ago, builds into a nice model if you take your time... - Mark

not rare. my LHS has some in stock, but don't know if it has been discontinued by tamiya.
