Are all posers this creepy?

So i was cruisin in fresno yesterday, just after rush hour, so the streets were still busy. i wasn't lookin for a race, but this black srt4(probably mostly stock) pulls up beside me. and when people sit in my blind spot like that, i tend to stare at them when they finally pull up beside me. there was like four late teens/early twenties guys in the car, and as soon as i looked at them, the driver took that as the start of something... and hit the gas...i just stayed cruisin, and watched him swerve around the car that was just in front of him, then flash his hazards. i pulled up to the next stoplight beside them, and just started busting up laughing, since their litttle stunt was so retarded...and they were taking it way too seriously. does anyone else see that stuff a lot? maybe it's just me...i've got 18"s, carbon fiber hood with hood pins that function, and the exhaust....so i kind of stick out, especially with the stereo on... but i don't race unless the person beside me has done more than just look at me...

Re: Are all posers this creepy?

Maybe it's just SRT-4 drivers/passengers..I was driving around and this SRT-4 pulled up beside me and was matching my speed and everyone in the car was giving me thumbs down and stuff like that. And so they took off and I just watched them. Then the guy put his hazards on. So I pulled up next to them at the light. And they kept yelling stuff at me and saying I was slow and my car was a piece of shit. So I rolled down my window and asked them if they wanted to try that again. Of course, they obliged assuming they'd beat me 'again'. Light turned green the guy spun forever whereas I launched with just a squeak. Took him by about 2 cars. He pulls up next to me on a roll. Still giving me thumbs down. Says I got lucky. Wants to try me from a roll. I downshift nod, he nods, and we both take off. Took him by half a car length. SECOND light. He pulls up, okay, okay I got lucky twice..he wants to try again. So. Light turns green. I take off and win again by a car length. So, after I obviously won..he flys by..puts his hazards on..and stops at the next light. Well, I was going to line up with him again. and he sees that. So, he hurries up and jumps over into the turning lane and makes a turn. Owned. And that's not the first time I've had such a run in with people in an SRT-4.

Man, it sounds like there are some SRT-4 drivers giving the rest of us Turbo Mopar owners a bad name. Anyhow, I don't get any kind of warning from people when they want to race. It seems that 98% of them time I don't find out we're racing until after the other guy has punched it.

LOL, it's just when you have a teenager in a car with other kids, they are more apt to do stupid things to impress their friends. Laugh it off and don't worry about it

Re: Are all posers this creepy?

Where do they all learn that if they get in front and put on the hazards they win? Is there some huge breeding ground somewhere where they get all these stupid ideas and "rules"?

Haha, my friend chris owns an orange srt-4, but he's nothing like that. Sure we all drive fast, but he doesnt try and race people and put the flashers on unless provoked.
