Consumer Reports..... G20 rules again!!

Well ..................... at least for the reliability honors, the G20 is off the charts compared to all other cars.

Also, the G20 is once again a recommended new OR used purchase by CR in their just-released Annual Auto Issue.

Don't get me wrong: Consumer Reports isn't exaxtly the holy grail for real-world, subjective evaluations on cars, but their unbiased stats are fun to compare car-to-car.

What's up with CR calling the G20 underpowered, though? Is the slushbox version THAT pokey? And what's with knocking the G's handling? Is the P11's beam axle such a step down from the P10's setup?

I must make an appointment with the Infiniti dealer to drive a new, auto tranny G20 to see if CR's evaluation is fair.... I just don't believe it!

I'll leave it to the enthusiast mags around the globe that rate the Primera's handling as world class, and only rely on CR to give me the lowdown on ownership costs & relaibility.

Well it IS underpowered compared to other entry level Luxury cars. 140 hp is not a whole lot. That doesn't mean it sucks, but other cars at the same level have more horsepower and usually a V6. I'm pretty happy with my SR20DE and manual trans, but I think they should have used a SR20VE in the P11 G20 to make it competitive. Hell, a SR20DET option for the P10 would've been great!

With the G35, they're in step with the competition.

Amen 2 dat bro. The G20 can only keep up with most of the competition in the twisties. A few car mags has claimed that the auto G20 does 0-60 in 9.5 to 11.0 secs. Now I ask you, how do you expect sell anyone a sports sedan that can't even accelerate quicker than a freakin Honda Insight?!?!?

My P11 just needs 2 things: 1) More power 2) Better cup holders.

Oh no, not the cupholder issue! I don't even wanna think about that Thanks for reminding me about our cars BIGGEST downfall.

I like to think they did that to cut down on drinkin' and drivin'.

Peace!

LOL personally I could care less about cupholders - I never drink (or eat) in my car anyway. (The last owner did though and spilled coffee on the carpet.)
