Is it Worth 30 G?
Or should I wait for the saleen?

IMO i dont think there worth 30 grand... You can go out and buy a low mileage Fbody LS1 with a 6 speed and way more power and for cheaper... How much will a new saleen be? I would take that Cobra with 390HP SC

anway the base price for the new stang was 26 grand?? and i dont know for sure but id bet it would outhandle a fbody ls1 car cause the new stangs suspension was completely rebuilt and its pretty awesome, and it still outruns a ls1 fbody. speaking of which, i got a shitty story. my friend has a special edition camaro SS with a ls1 and last saturday he was in his garage gettin something out of the trunk and some guy in a ski mask came up and knocked him out stole the car and wrecked it going over 100 mph, there were only 26 cars like his made. that would suck.

Well, he's not saying anything way off topic..it's getting there. But the question was is an 05 worth it...this guy said no because you can get a better performing car for around the same price. But now he's going on and on about the LS1...if he leaves it at that then it's fine..atleast in my opinion.

I like Mustangs and i love camaros.. But theres no way a 05 GT will beat a 6 speed LS1.. Im sorry... Its just a FACT LOL.. The guy was simply asking a question if its worth 30 grand and i said IMO its not worth the money because you can buy a faster car and cheaper.. Maybe bringin the LS1 into it was a bad idea... I should included the 5.0 Mustang 88-93 with a T5.. Those things are amazing. Couple bolt ons and you can run 12s with those things and there cheap as hell.. Theres a kid i kno that runs 12s in his 89 LX with stock heads and stock suspension

that prelude guy is the same guy causing crap in the other thread, and hey nicks man i like camaros to, im a mustang guy obviously lol. and jim morrison rocks... and yes the ls1 engine obviously outperformes the mustang gt engine. but in their respective cars the mustang runs faster times than the fbody ls1 cars. for instance car&driver clocked the new mustang gt running 0-60 .2 seconds faster 0-60 than the pontiac GTO with a ls1. and they out accelerated the formula 2000 gt and trans-am. now ive never seen times compaired to a camaro SS. but yes the ls1 engine does have more torque and hp, that is fact. its just the actual cars that make the difference.

but another thing to keep in mind is these are professional drivers and idk what difference that may have made in the way the mustang performed in the tests, dont wanna cause any trouble lol, IMO i would get the new 05 GT, even if im wrong about out accelerating a ls1 fbody they still look cool as hell....
