Smoke Window Tint?

I tried to look for a thread on this forum about it but had no luck finding it. I was wondering how you guys smoke tint your windows? Do you need a air brush to do it?

Thanks

FYI, guys, we appreciate the searching efforts, but the general AF search engine is currently limited to posts from about the last month... :o Sorry!

There's generally two ways to do it: with paint or with tint film. A couple of the guys on here have had trouble getting the paint to cover smoothly (Tamiya X-19 Smoke in particular). Others seem to do it with no problem.

Tint film, on the other hand, works great for everything except rear windows that have the defroster lines molded in. The film will never quite sit smoothly over them...

this question is kind of similar in nature, since it is about painting clear plastic parts.....have any of you guys seen integra or civic type-r headlights?.....you know how it has that black housing so the lights look darker?.......if any of you guys made a civic type-r or an integra, did you guys include this in the process?.....if you did, how did you do it?.....i tried it but it came out funny........also....how do you guys paint taillights?.....any special procedure or special p aint?.......thanks......

Don't you know, it's 10 hp for every sticker, 50 hp extra for every additional inch of rear spoiler behond stock height.

paint the headlight reflectors silver, then paint around the rims (non-reflecting parts) flat back... no paint is applied over the clear light lenses.

Go look in the model gallery for my ITR.. you can see how i did the headlights there.

Here's one I found that they painted the housing silver. It's not black, but you can see how it looks like if you would paint it silver.
