Saturn Ion

Last night I was riding around and i came across a Saturn Ion at an intersection. Lights went green got in front of him by a few car lengths, then he shot past me like I was standing still. Im like whoa, that thing has nuts. Does anyone know much about these? Other than its supercharged and weighs only like 2500lbs

Re: Saturn Ion

Yea, it has 140 HP. If this thing pasted you buy, it's time you get a new car.

Re: Saturn Ion

I'm sorry. I'mnot coming down on you. Just having a very bad day.
Read my post of the day. It will tell you how my day has gone.

I like running cars like that. Normally they go home and buy more parts for their cars.
Again, sorry.

Dont worry Fig,

I Had the same thing happen to me last week. I was doing bout 63mph and one of those redline's pulled next to me. He nodded and took off, so he got the jump but he kept me a half car back up to 110mph. Deffenatly shocked me.

Re: Saturn Ion

Rip,
Never good to run from that high of speed. Unless your on the freeway.
I will have to look for one of those. Been a long time since someone "nodded" to me. Think it was a Michigan State trooper. And it was more of a "pull your ass over" nod.

Re: Saturn Ion

No shit.

My cam usually does pretty good at high speeds though. Next time I see him I wont have a full spare and 2 bags of tools in my car either. Oh and that night is when I finished the water injection on my car.

Still pretty impressed w/ a sleeper saturn

OK, but I still have to find one.
Come on down, we'll rent one, take it a part to see what makes it go.

I was driving a 2000 GTP. I still think that Saturn had some stuff done to it though.

Re: Saturn Ion

Something about a saturn beating me would really make me mad, and ashamed. Even with 205hp, it shouldn't have outperformed a GP like that.

Re: Saturn Ion

Is your GTP stock? If so, I can see it being a good race, after reading up on it. I like looking for Mustang GT's, their fun to run. And the look on their faces. It's like "this isn't happening, is it"?
Hey, have fun out there. Stay safe.
