Etch Kits
Hi, I just got the Full View Ferrari F50, and was wondering which etchkit you lot recommend. Is there anyway to get rid of the mould imperfections on the clear plastic or should I just leave it?

Re: Etch Kits
The question of the molding marks has been raised here before(funnily enough), the general concensus has been it's better to leave it alone than try to remove them and risk messing the kit up.
As for the P/E set, get whichever you can find.

Mold mark removal was covered in detail on one of Tamiya's sites years ago. I think they used 5 successively finer grits of sandpaper followed by two finer polishing compounds.
PE kits, depend on how much time and money you want to spend. The Studio 27 kit has all the basics while the Accustition set has everything and costs a lot. There are machined shocks and other bits out there as well, though there is nothing for the front spare tire well. There was an X-ray poster which would be helpful too. I have one of these as well, though I'm waiting to finish my regular version (w/s27 pe) so I can better see what detail I want to add.
