Are you hardcore enough as a Initial D fans for it?!

hehehehe...and its spelled Hachiroku...no " - " please

well, its bascially A normal Fujimi Zenki Trueno AE86 with the Tofu(don't ask) and Initial D sticker, extra pair of racing seats and 1 set of 14" RS Watanabe wheels molded in dark grey. Body is molded in white, with other interior parts in black. If you want to make it to its correct specs, lots of putty work is involve OR You can just build it box stock and it'll look like sh*t.

1 main part is missing in the kit is a pair of sun reflector...the thing that mounts on the doors....and the rear wiper are too big for its scale, but the mud guards are too small....and when you paint the front bumper, you'll have a hell of a time trying to mask it....oh yeah...very important, don't put on the rear wing/lip, or you'll screw up the entire model (Unless you're crazy and thought there was a wing on Takumi's car)...

oh hell, this is a poorly made kit like most of Fujimi's other special kits.

So all of the Fujimi Initial D kits are crap? Are there any exceptions? How about Aoshima's 1/32?

I guess the difference between Tamiya and Fujimi is "like comparing chocolate to shit"

:hehehe:
I did try to do Fujimi 86 kit (the one with Takumi and Mogi figures...if it matters?) I messed up on painting black part of the body, it's hard masking the curved part above the wheels so it was in CSC for a while. I agree the body is molded pretty badly.. it seems like the quality of ID kits are worse than the rest of Fujimis!

I don't have the Aoshima, but they seem to lack in even more details than the Fujimi.
If you are like me and love the AE86 (and initial d ) so much, there's no other choice for plastic 1/24 models. OR you can always get diecast or mini-z.
As some of you might remember, I talked about building the initial d FC (Gen 2 RX-7) and I'm still not finish. Just recently finished fixing the front end....and to my surprise, the rear wing is the wrong style.....
