---Completed 67 Chevelle Pro Street BIG PICS---
Complete it last night. AMT 67 Chevelle Pro Street. Built out the box, only lowered the ride height, removed the wheelie bars and cut the intake down to keep the carbs under the hood. Colors are Duplicolor Cardinal Red and Mica Black. Cleared with Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic. Polished with Mequiars #7 Glaze.
Comments always welcome. Thanks for looking... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Till Next ... ED .

I have a comment for ya... Excellent work!! I love the background you use as well!!! Did this kit have any serious fitment issues?

Re: ---Completed 67 Chevelle Pro Street BIG PICS---
Great job buddy! I love the clean two tone color work. The only thing I have to say is that the engine bay looks awfull lonely without at least plug wires and carb linkages.

WoW! Stunning color scheme. Relly like the door panel lines. The shift knob is cool too! Great job detailing the front grille and back bumper trim, it looks much better than leaving it all chrome
In the 3rd pic, it looks like the "SS" badging is upside down ![]() Got any underbody pics? |

Thanks for the comments all.
slk320/JTRACING - From the start I wanted to build it straight out the box and focus more on finish's. Paint on the interior, chassis, body etc. I wanted to build it as clean as I could, more focus on the paint job. Being my first "finished" paint job on a model in a very long time, I'm happy with the results. I like the black-out look on the trim. I could have masked it all and used flat black would have looked better than just the paint color. Never used BMF, don't have any, I'll need it on my next build so I'll get a chance to use it. I really don't have all the wire etc for doing the engine. Still figuring out what sizes to use. Really just wanted to build a clean out the box model. 675datsun - The SS is correct on the back, it's just a lil out of focus. I didn’t do anything with the panel lines, they are deep on this kit. tonioseven - There are a few fitment issues, minor mostly. the windshield is a lil off. In the 4th pic you can see the windshield is not quite up to the top of the frame. If you move it up you will have a gap at the bottom between the glass and frame of the vent windows. The vent glass could be cut from the windshield and installed separately, or use clear lexan for the vent windows. The instructions say to install the engine after the interior and firewall ,But the headers won't clear the front crossmember, I had to really pry it in there. After you have the engine in, you need to install the radiator/support, which you need to lift the engine to get the fan inside the shroud. Now the drive shaft and trans crossmember needs to go on at the same time to keep it all lined up. One of those I NEED 4 HANDS things. I also had to trim one lower corner of the battery that hit the inner fender well. Installing the body over the chassis is scary to say the least. I had 2 small screwdrivers to spread the body over the fender wells, But once it's on there, it fit really tight. I didn’t need to glue it at all. Which leads to the grill, which I test fit at the start. But now fits really loose. The front fender wells had spread the fenders out slightly making the opening too wide. A lil shaving on the fender well inside the fender will correct this. I also had to file a bit off the back of the grill. the lil bumps for the headlight cans, as they hit the radiator support. Overall it is a nice kit, I will build another. Got tired of the all white backdrop so I use one of my paintings as a backdrop, something different. ![]() Thanks all ... ED
